I watched cartoons and sitcoms,
And even some live-action shows,
I loved them all, and they helped me
To learn and grow.
But now that I’m older,
I can see the flaws in those shows,
The stereotypes and the unrealistic expectations,
The messages that weren’t always so great.
But even though I see the flaws,
I still love those old TV shows,
They remind me of a simpler time,
When life was just about having fun.
I used to love those old TV shows, the ones I watched as a child. I would watch them over and over again, never tiring of their stories. But now, as an adult, I see them with new eyes. I see the flaws in the writing, the unrealistic characters, the outdated values. And yet, I still love them. Because they remind me of a simpler time, a time when I didn’t have to worry about anything. A time when I could just sit back and enjoy a good story.
